MGM-15 dependence
Ibogaine treatment for MGM-15 dependence
MGM-15 is a lab-made compound derived from 7-OH that acts on opioid receptors, and it has been a Schedule I drug since August 26, 2026. We treat MGM-15 dependence as opioid-type dependence: screening and a plan built around what's really in your tablets, then a 10-day stay in a boutique villa on the sand in Rosarito.

What is MGM-15?
MGM-15 (dihydro-7-hydroxymitragynine) is a semi-synthetic compound made in a lab from 7-OH, the strongest opioid-acting alkaloid in kratom. It is not kratom and does not occur in the leaf in any meaningful amount. It is sold in tablets alongside 7-OH, sometimes labeled "DHM" or "Hydro 7", and is often mixed with 7-OH and mitragynine pseudoindoxyl ("pseudo"). Like 7-OH, it acts on mu-opioid receptors, so regular use produces opioid-type dependence (DEA, Federal Register).
Is MGM-15 legal?
No. The DEA temporarily placed MGM-15, MGM-16 and mitragynine pseudoindoxyl in Schedule I effective August 26, 2026, through August 26, 2028, with a possible extension. Making, selling or possessing it is now a federal crime. On October 14, 2026 the DEA also announced its intent to schedule concentrated 7-OH (Federal Register). With products leaving shelves, supply gets less predictable, and so does what's in each tablet.
How strong is it?
Lab and animal studies cited by the DEA suggest MGM-15 is considerably stronger than 7-OH. There is almost no research in people, and tablets vary widely in what they contain, so the honest answer is that the dose in a given pack is unknown. That uncertainty is a big reason to come off under medical care rather than alone.
How we approach MGM-15 dependence
We treat MGM-15 dependence as opioid-type dependence, using the screening, stabilization and aftercare of our opioid program. No study has tested ibogaine for MGM-15. Research on ibogaine for opioid withdrawal is observational, including a 2018 study of 50 people undergoing opioid detox with ibogaine in Mexico; results vary and it is not a cure.
- Tell us everything on the label. Brands, tablets per day, and whether the pack mentions 7-OH, pseudo, MGM-15, MGM-16 or "DHM". Send a photo if you can.
- Screening from home. Our medical team reviews your history, medications and labs.
- Your plan. Timing and any stabilization are set with you on prep calls. Don't stop on your own.
- Cleared. You'll know you're cleared before you book a flight.
